Before starting with the P90X, using the P90X nutrition guide, or with any new workout program, it is essential to have a great diet you’re comfortable with and already following. How many people do you know that can stick with eating right AND working at the same time? Probably only a few. The reason? Most people who commit to eating healthy AND working out for the first time, typically stop doing one of the two (or both) after just a few short weeks. What happens? They don’t see the results they want and so they give up on “working out.” This is why there are SO many diets, exercise pills, workouts, exercises, plans, etc. If you’re not eating healthy foods, and following some sort of healthy diet, you’re going to fall short when the actual exercising beings. This is the benefit of the P90X nutrition guide. It provides you with easy-to-follow instructions, menus, cooking tips, and everything else you’d want from an eating plan. It also shows you what foods to eat and when, giving you the best possible results while working out. The great thing about our bodies is that even if you’ve fallen short of eating healthy for a few years, it doesn’t take years to correct your past mistakes. The great thing about the P90X nutrition guide is that you can follow it (and it IS a great eating plan) along with the P90X workout/exercise routine for a few months and begin to see some drastic results.
My first recommendation to eating healthier and setting up the foundation for sticking with P90X for 90 days is to start off slow. The best way to learn something is through repetition so start trying to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet. Try eating 1 apple every other day along with 1 serving of veggies every other day. Before you know it, you’ll be eating enough nutrients to sustain your body and you’ll be one step closer into truly starting P90X to see results. And don’t worry, there’s plenty of protein in veggies (in the green-leafy ones). *I’m not going to recommend what types of protein to eat mainly because eating animal proteins can increase your risk at getting cancer, so I’ll leave that topic up to you to decide.
